OBESITY



Obesity in layman’s language is an increase in body weight due increase in body fat.

In scientific language, obesity is determined by Body Mass Index --It is a type of measurement that compares the height and weight of a person and establishes that the person is overweight (BMI is between 25 kg/m2 and 30 kg/m2  ) or obese( BMI is greater than 30 kg/m2    ).




CAUSES OF OBESITY


There are many causes of obesity like:
  • NO PHYSICAL ACTIVITY
  • EATING HABITS
  • GENETIC FACTORS
  • TRAUMA
  • ENDOCRINE FACTOR
  • PROSPERITY AND CIVILISATION
